On Thursday Sept. 24, 2009, 16 Year Old Derrion Albert Of Chicago Was Beaten To Death While Walking Home From School. The Honor Student From Fenger High School Happened To Be At The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time And Was Swept Into a Fight Between Two Rival Gangs. He Was Not Apart Of Either Gang And Was Said To Be An Innocent Bystander, Trying To Help Another Friend Out. The Boys Used Their Feet, Fists And 2 By 4's To Fight Each Other And To Beat A Helpless Derrion. It Saddens Me When Something Like This Happens. Not Only Has Derrion Lost His Young Life But Also The Other Young Black Men Who Participated In This Gruesome Beating. Those Boys Will Probably Never See The Light Of Day Again In Their Young Lives. But I Guess Every Action Bears A Consequence. Since Then The Police Have Arrested Four Teens And Have Charged Them With First Degree Murder Without Bail. People We Have To Get A Grip On Black On Black Violence, It's Our Babies Out Here Dying! Below Is The Graphic Video Of The Deadly Beaten Taken From a Bystander's Cell Phone. The Video Has Helped Police Identify Derrion's Attackers. He Was Laid To Rest This Past Saturday Oct. 3, 2009. Rest In Peace Young Man.
